Finally figured out how to create an "About Me" page, so now you guys can read a little bit about the crazy person behind this blog!
I started this blog at the end of 2011 in the hopes of using it to chronicle my journey to and through motherhood. I mostly post recipes, home renovations, or photos from special events/holidays. I have no professional training or experience in cooking or baking. It's just something I enjoy and have learned over the years. I currently work as a legal assistant to a bankruptcy attorney. I have been at my current job for nearly 8 years now. It is tedious work and it's definitely not my passion, but it pays the bills. My boss is amazing and for the most part, I enjoy my job. Tomm, my husband, is a car salesman. We hope to open our own business in the future.
Tomm and I married in September of 2011. He is a hard worker and very patient with me and my short temper. I always tell people that I can't believe who I ended up being married to, because we have a funny past. We met when I was fifteen, but things didn't work out. I never thought twice about him, it was just a fling. Five years pass and we reconnected randomly, decided to hang out again, and had a rocky and complicated first year of dating. About two years later we got married. Love is a funny thing.
We started trying to get pregnant immediately after our wedding. It was a very long and difficult journey but we have finally made it! We are expecting our first child together this December and couldn't be more excited.
As of right now, we have our chihuahua, Ziggy, and a cat named Bibi. Ziggy turned four this April (2013). I can't remember how old Bibi is, but I would guess five or six (bad pet parent, I know).
We are very simple people. We enjoy traveling, delicious food, good company, and stiff drinks (obviously I don't enjoy the stiff drinks as of now. haha). I hope you enjoy reading!
